Offense-Defense ---Stacy Johnson-Klein Who Was Fired by Fresno State Sues Former Employer & University President Mr. Welty

In her lawsuit filed this week, the former women's basketball coach claimed that she was fired because the University was retaliating against her for talking about title IX issues and for bringing sexual harassment charges against another employee.

Now that she is talking, she is going to spill all the beans. Her attorney is not saying how much she is claiming. Whatever she can get is going for the pain and suffering and the humiliation she went through. Her world collapsed. The coach who used to attract attention on the sideline with her sense of fashion said she is going to stick around to see what's going to happen in the lawsuit. Her attorney Paboojian is not saying how much money is involved here.

Mrs. Johnson-Klein said that Johnson, a male staffer who retired earlier, harassed her. He touched her and made inappropriate comments about her breasts and cleavage. She alleged that Johnson and other male staffers perceived her clothing as ill-fitting, tight-fitting and revealing. She said that lesbian coaches were not to be hired and that dykes were not part of the team. They formed the other team.

A native of Oklahoma, Stacy J-K knows a lot about basketball. She was recruited with a lot of fanfare. She knew stardom very quickly in the Fresno market. Then, there appeared to be some conflict of interests. She was becoming too famous for many in the area. She was a star all along. Any way, Fresno state may need a good defense right now.

Offense-Defense. Give Fresno State a D-E-F-E-N-S-E. Stacy is on the O-F-F-E-N-S-E.

Hollywood could not have scripted such a story. Lance Armstrong is one my best heroes. A world class athlete was stricken by cancer. He fought it with all he got and returned to the tour de France to win and become the man to beat. He is used to wearing the yellow jersey. He is also used to fighting for his life. He has become a part of the cancer community by contributing and becoming a voice for those who are suffering and the loved ones they leave behind. Who does not know somebody who is suffering from cancer or died from it? Lance is giving back to the community and the fans who were supporting him.

Lance Armstrong is the comeback guy whose story inspires all of us. It's not over until it's over. The books tell more about his life, training and values.

That's why he is one of my heroes today.

Trendsetting women of the Central Valley of California have a new boutique they can go to. Located at Piazza del Fiore, BIATOU is a new women's clothing boutique where fashion-sensitive women can find the latest deals. Owner Elie Nikooe is a fashion enthusiast. She describes the atmosphere at the store as "being more of a chick trendy than a young attitude trendy."

It's worth noting that Piazza del Fiore Shopping center at Champlain Drive and Perrin Avenue is located in North Fresno which has seen some great investments. Ever since the RiverPark shopping Center was developed, more and and more local businesses want to have their address associated with that junction of North Blackstone.

BIATOU's target market is 20-to-50-year-old women. If demographics are taken into account, the area is full of this age group capable of keeping the register going. In North Fresno, the average household income.

In BIATOU, Mrs. Nikooe said that you will find a sample of what you are used to seeing in fashion-conscious areas such as Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas. Those are some of the places where she did her homework in addition to the experience gained from her past employment at Marshall's and other stores.

On Blackstone and Nees, Gottchalks whose headquarters is located near the Woodward Park is building the mother lode of all stores near Borders Books and Music and the local theaters. Accross the street from it, you will see Barnes and Noble, Elephant Bar and many other worthy stores. The Gottchalks store is going to be the highlight of that corner. Furthermore, Near national University, you will find 5 Park Place, an office building which features semireflective glass and views of the park and mountains. It received its Project of the Year award from Top Professionals Guide this year. Among other businesses that lease part of this building, we find Fresno Pacific University that is trying to be where the customers with money and mobility are. 5 Park Place is designed by developer DeWayne Zinkin and architect Ron Mazzeo. It's the first of many other projects which are going to be developed by Zinkin in the River Park Shopping Center.

If anything, this new corridor is the new business area of Fresno.

My friends are still debating on Annette Bening's Jersey dress designed by Giorgo Armani Prive. Warren Beatty must have helped her pick it. Others say it was a surprise. Most friends it was one of the best dresses of the soiree. They prefer Hilary Swank's Guy Laroche dress instead.

For sure, there were other dress highlights that are not mentioned yet. How about Renee Zellweger's Carolina Herrera red gown? A sure Quincenera gown. Tell me something about Gisele Bundchen's Christian Dior dress? Look at the patterns.

Now, Beyonce Knowles stole the show with her combination of gowns, dresses and songs.
She started out on the red carpet with a strapless black velvet Atelier Versace gown. Then, she wore an Elie Saab floral dress with Sergio Rossi shoes to perform "Look to Your Path." She returned to the podium in a custom-made Roberto Cavalli ballgown to sing "Learn to Be Lonely." She had on Armani in her duet "Believe" with Josh Groban. At the Vanity Fair party, she was in a Cavalli again. If it was an introduction to the Hollywood elite, she accomplished her mission.

Any way, Cate wore a fishtail theme, yellow silk Valentino dress with burgundy sash. Bear in mind that strapless gowns and dresses were very popular last night on the red carpet.

Renee Zellweger wore a Carolina Herrera raspberry red gown with ivory tulle trim. For sure, she got lots of attention from the crowd on the red carpet. In the middle of most Americans’ living rooms, most stars who participated in the Oscar awards ceremony got either a thumb up or a thumb down.

Many of my fellow fashion critics believed that Charlize Theron’s fashion designed by Dior was the gown to have.

Cate Blanchett reached down to Valentino who designed her gold silk gown. She turned heads on the red carpet last night. She won as a supporting actress and a good choice of dress selector.

Most fashion observers cheered for Kate Winslet and Natalie Portman, the Israeli-born actress who was discovered in New York. Kate wore a jewel-encrusted Bagdley Mischka frock. Both of these leading ladies wore greek-inspired gowns.

Great that Hilary Swank got the “Best Actress” award for Million Dollar Baby! Her long –sleeved, backless dress was designed by Guy Laroche. The dress was a nice sapphire blue that accentuates the curvilinear assets of the actress.

Melanie Griffith whose husband sang “Al otro lado del rio” with the accompaniment of the best electric guitarist (Santana) wore a Versace gown with a sheer back panel.

There’s no doubt that Tinseltown was abuzz with all the parties, Governor’s Balls and receptions.

Help, Help! Can Armani, Gucci and Versace Save Michael Jackson From Jurors' Furor?

The star of Michael Jackson is on trial. His persona is being looked into by the judge, sheriff, district attorney and jurors. But his sartorial style continues to turn heads.

On day 1 of his trial, he wore a white three-piece suit with lots of jeweled baubles at the waist and a gold armband.

What does he wear on Day 2? Being the king of Pop, Michael may think he is not a common man before the law. There is no white shirt and black suit for him. he wears a black suit and a red shirt with a choker pendant, a brocade vest and a royal crest.

What Michael Jackson will find out is that the court is not a music video scene. Jurors will look at his clothes to get a peak at his personality. Will his theatrical clothing affect jurors' perceptions?

Maybe not. Everyone who sits on the jury may have known about Michael Jackson before. The guy just likes weird outfits. They may not determine his guilt or innocence either. Jurors will have to consider the evidence presented by the prosecutor.
